What level of EDGE Certification does your project need?

The efficiency of a building is no longer measured solely by its design or functionality. Energy and water consumption, as well as the impact of the materials used, are factors that can influence its operating costs and long-term performance.

The EDGE certification establishes different levels that recognize the degree of efficiency achieved by a project.

EDGE Certified is the standard level and requires achieving at least 20% energy savings, 20% water savings and 20% less energy embodied in materials. It represents a first step towards more efficient and sustainable buildings.

For projects seeking superior energy performance, EDGE Advanced raises the energy savings requirement to a minimum of 40%, maintaining the parameters of 20% in water consumption and energy embodied in materials. This level allows progress towards greater efficiency and a more significant reduction in the costs associated with the operation of the property.

The EDGE Zero Carbon level takes the commitment even further. In addition to meeting the established efficiency criteria, it requires achieving operational carbon neutrality, through the use of renewable energies or compensation mechanisms that allow reaching zero operational emissions.

Efficiency that generates value

Identifying the appropriate level will depend on the characteristics, objectives and stage of each project. Incorporating these criteria from planning allows decisions to be made that can translate into lower consumption, greater operational efficiency and better positioning of the asset.

At SAVITAT we support owners, developers and project teams during the EDGE certification process, guiding the implementation of sustainability and efficiency strategies.

Building efficiently is reducing costs and protecting the environment.
